Salvatore Puddu "My Treasure" Dagger Brian Hochstrat Engraver

$14,000.00Price

What can I say, My Treasure, an amazing work of art from two masters, Salvatore Puddu and Brian Hochstrat. Some comments and description are best expressed by Salvatore: "you had a beautiful engraving made that echoes the oval center of the dagger. As I told you, this dagger is dedicated to my daughter Federica, which is why I called it the “My Treasure” model. I don't know if you know what that oval part with the 9kt gold inlays forming a cross symbolizes... it represents the earth and the sky, and therefore eternity. I hope you like the story behind the dagger. The total length of the dagger is 255 mm when open... the blade of the dagger measures 115 mm, the two inner plates are made of 301 stainless steel and the blade locking mechanism is a liner lock. It can be opened manually or automatically by pressing the gold button on the front. The two parts of the handle are made of 416 stainless steel and the dagger has a total of 34 inlays covering the two parts of the handle, 30 of which are mother-of-pearl. Between each part of the handle there are 4 black mother-of-pearl inlays and 5 9kt gold inlays... the remaining inlays are white mother-of-pearl and all these inlays are slightly raised. I hope you like the story behind the dedication of this dagger and that you appreciate all the details of the materials used to make it."  The mirror polished blade is RWL34, the lower edge is sharpened while the upper part has a false edge that allows for the symmetry of the center line of the blade.

The engraving, mirroring the oval center of the dagger, was my idea and executed with his own touches by Master Engraver Brian Hochstrat.  The Copper and 22kt Gold inlays are raised to match the inlays already present in the knife. The overall style of the knife and engraving is Gothic.
