Joe Kious Dagger Brian Hochstrat Engraver
This is a Joe Kious model 6 lock back dagger featuring a Norris SS Damascus blade with a bright finish, the 416 Stainless frame has beautiful deep blue Lapis Lazuli inlays and is framed by Brian Hochstrat engraving with the interplay between a Leopard and a Gazelle, on the display side the Leopard is stalking while the Gazelle is grazing and on the pile side the Leopard is attacking its prey and the Gazelle is bolting away in an effort to escape. The spine is file worked and the lock is crafted in gold and file worked. This piece was made to my order and has rested as a safe queen in my personal collection, I am now making it available to a discerning collector.

About Joe Kious
Joe Kious is recognized as one of the most renowned of custom knife makers. He passed away in 2014 and is sorely missed within the custom knife world. His knives reside in many of the great collections in the world. Joe produced an outstanding array of models to suit any taste, he was especially well known for the creation of the Pocket Locket, a sliding panel in the scale of the knife providing an extra surface to display different materials and most often engraving. Joe used the best materials available and often accented his creations with gold and file work. Joe's pieces are often utilized as a canvas upon which the greatest knife engravers of out time execute their work.
