Raymond Richard - Tiki Knife - sold
Certain knives get my attention, here is such a knife. This is the Tiki by Raymond Richard. Raymond has named is knife business 'Hawk'n Knives Off Beat Forge', very apt for Richard and his work. Richard forges most of his blades and his knives often reflect a primitive styling with some Tai Goo influence mixed in. This knife features a Damascus blade that has been differentially heat treated, wrought iron guard and pommel, stabilized Koa wood handle and an amazing leather sheath. Now don't get me wrong because, I like the knife itself, but the sheath is what first attracted me to this knife. Raymond hand carves these creations using multiple layers of leather and tools them to achieve this effect. This particular piece has been displayed on a mantel piece in my home for the past few years (something else has replaced it) and I am now making it available for someone else to enjoy. Talk about a fun knife/art/sculpture piece, this is it!
