Jim Dunlap - Shadow Trapper w/Wharnie Blade - sold

Jim Dunlap - Shadow Trapper w/Wharnie Blade - sold

These are slip joint, shadow pattern Trappers with Wharncliff blades (the first Wharncliff models I've had of this pattern in a couple years), from Jim Dunlap, they feature  blades of CPM 154 steel with a hand rubbed satin finish, pull is around 4 1/2 to 5 on a 10-point scale. The scales are; one with Electric Blue Carbon Fiber and the other with plain Black Carbon Fiber. The strength and rigidity of the Carbon Fiber allows the knife to be made without liners, so it is an extremely lightweight (approx. 1.1 oz), easy to carry and it makes for a great EDC (Every Day Carry) knife. The blades have half stops and are flush in all positions. The fit and finish of these knives is on par with knives costing twice as much, if not more.

1 Electric Blue Carbon Fiber @ $285 sold

1 Black Carbon Fiber @ $285 sold

Jim specializes in traditional style folders including multi-blades and he does great file work. Jim's knives offer great value for the money. I have sold well over 200 of these Shadow Pattern Trappers since I started carrying them in 2014, they are wonderful, so treat yourself or consider them as a gift to someone who would appreciate a good custom knife.
