Glenn Waters - Botan
This handsome frame locking flipper folder is from the very talented Glenn Waters. This model is called the Botan and it features a multi-grind blade of M390 steel with a satin finish, it runs on ceramic bearings making for a very smooth flipping action, the bead blasted Titanium frame is anodized blue and has a decorated, textured pattern finish highlighted with a Dragonfly motif. The frame lock has a hardened steel insert for superior wear resistance, the custom tip up pocket clip has a finish to match the handles and is marked “Glenn Waters” over “09/2017” and model name, “Botan” is marked near the tip of the pocket clip, the floating back spacer is finished to match the frame and has an integral lanyard hole and a glass break tip, lastly, but not least are the highly decorative custom pivots. This one is a beauty that would be a welcome addition to any collection or would also serve as a very nice EDC.
Glenn Waters is a native Australian living and studying in Japan since 1986. He is also a Martial Arts instructor and combines traditional Japanese materials and style in creating his unique edged works of art. He is a multiple award winner at many knife shows in Japan, the United States and beyond.
