C Gray Taylor - 5 Blade Candle End pattern

C Gray Taylor - 5 Blade Candle End pattern

This is one of C Gray Taylor's Top of the Line Art Knives, a Candle End pattern featuring Tortoise shell scales inlayed with a pattern of Green Gold stems & leaves and Rose Gold flowers engraved by Lisa Tomlin. The liners are 14k gold with file worked edges throughout (his top of the line and most desirable knives are those with gold liners), the pins are also gold, and the tip bolsters are gold, file worked in a clam shell pattern, as is the bail, and the knife is presented in a handmade leather case. Note that the scissors have a gold screw and gold leaf spring. This piece is new from the makers lottery at the AIM (Arts in Metal) show. This is an exceptional work of art for the discerning collector from one of (if not the most) talented multi-blade slip joint makers in the world. An opportunity not to be missed.
