Joe Kious originally made this knife for the Barrett-Smythe Galleries in New York. At the time, the gallery owner commissioned the best knifemakers and most renowned engravers to create the most stunning Art Knives for his clientele. Occasionally these Barrett-Smythe knives become available on the market and this one is a prime example. Besides the fine fit and finish that Joe is known for this knife also features a Gold bail and the majestic Golden Eagles engraving by Belgium Master Engraver Gino Cargnel, now deceased. Cargnel was known for his work on high-end guns and art knives. This knife, the Model 8, is a special knife for Joe Kious; he made one for each of his children and it is the knife he carries (in a larger size with Stag handles) when hunting. This masterpiece will make a fine addition to any collection.
