This unique watch is the creation of Bernhard Lederer, the owner/founder/creator of Blu (Bernhard Lederer). Bernhard is a member of the prestigious AHCI (Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants or in English, Horological Academy of Independent Creators). This watch is from the "Planet" collection and the model is Paris; features of this watch are a Copper Clous de Paris dial, Stainless Steel case, a mechanical automatic winding movement with hours and minute functions. The case diameter is 39 mm and the height is 11 mm. A Sapphire orients itself toward the hour while the single blued hand designates the minutes. This watch is in Mint to Near Mint condition, it comes with two original Blu Alligator straps one in a bright Blue and the other a deep Navy Blue and original guarantee paperwork. No box, this is how it came to me direct from the factory in Switzerland.

BLU’s concept of marking time is to break with timekeeping’s tradition of using hands to indicate the time by pointing to markers on the dial. In the Planet collection BLU bases it recording of time on the revolution of our planet and its orbit around the sun.

The main dial revolves on it’s axis every 12 hours, the Sapphire indicating to the hours, while a sub-dial set into the main disk displays the minutes in a (relatively) traditional manner, where the full hour position is always upright.
